Witch Hazel:  Witch hazel contains a high concentration of tannins, a group of antioxidant chemicals. Tannin’s act as an astringent, is anti-viral, and anti-bacterial. Tannins help to shrink pores and regulate excess oil on the skin and soothes the skin.

Glycolic Acid:  Glycolic acid has the smallest-sized molecules of all the AHAs. This allows glycolic acid to absorb into the skin and exfoliate it better than other AHAs. Glycolic acid helps your skin shed dead skin cells more quickly than it would on its own. Glycolic acid supports the production of collagen as well. Collagen is the protein that makes skin firm, plump, and elastic. The skin makes less collagen with age. Collagen is also destroyed when you spend too much time in the sun. 

Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Leaf Juice: Besides its ability to help replenish and retain moisture in the skin, aloe may also support the production of hyaluronic acid, collagen, and elastin fibers in the skin—all of which are necessary to keep skin hydrated, firm, and supple, which decline naturally with age. Applying aloe vera topically has been shown to help restore skin elasticity and decrease the appearance of fine lines.

Hyaluronic Acid: It’s a well-known humectant that can attract and hold moisture. Hyaluronic molecules can store 1,000 times their own weight in water. This is advantageous since HA molecules are too big to permeate the skin. HA, on the other hand, stays on the skin’s surface and acts to keep moisture in place so that it may be absorbed.

Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM):  known as “Nature’s Beauty Mineral” MSM supports the production of collagen in the skin, in turn it supports slowing tissue breakdown that leads to wrinkle formation and accelerated aging of skin. 

Tea Tree Oil: Tea tree oil contains key compounds that helps reduce the bacteria on skin’s surface that contribute to acne production, it helps calm the skin and reduces redness caused by acne.

Vaccinium (Bilberry) Myrtillus Extract:  Bilberry is one of the best sources of antioxidant compounds. Due to its calming properties, bilberry is known to help strengthen skin against signs of redness. While bilberry contains antioxidants known as tannins, that may protect against environmental stressors leading to younger looking skin. It also supports the production of collagen. 

Cranberry Extract:  Cranberries are loaded with antioxidants that protect skin cells from damage. Cranberries help protect the skin from environmental stressors while omega fatty acids keep it hydrated and plump.

Malic Acid:  Is a gentle AHA because its molecule size is larger than most, so it doesn’t penetrate the skin quite as deep. Due to the slow absorption rate, malic acid is an acceptable and gentler treatment for sensitive skin. Not only is malic acid an exfoliator, but it also has humectant benefits and helps balance both the skin’s pH and the pH of skincare products.

Citric Acid: Belongs to the AHA family of acids, which supports skin exfoliation to reveal a fresh and firmer complexion. It is also an antioxidant used in anti-aging applications.

Dimethylaminoethanol (DMAE): DMAE relaxes fine lines and wrinkles and assists in firming sagging and aging skin, resulting in an overall more tightened, toned and youthful appearance.

Sugar Cane Extract:  Sugar Cane Extract contains glycolic acid, and under the category of an alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA). AHAs are water-soluble acids, with their most common sources being fruit. They work by gently peeling away dead skin cells on the surface to unveil more even-toned looking skin. Sugar Cane Extract, like Glycolic Acid, are an excellent option to help aid skin that has hyperpigmentation or a rough texture.

Sugar Maple Extract:  Extracts from the sap of the sugar maple are used in skin care products due to the high concentration of active components, including amino peptides, calcium, and phosphorus.  Additionally, sugar maple extract is said to function as a naturally derived Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA). Upon application, Sugar Maple provides gentle exfoliation, stimulates skin regeneration, and helps the skin retain moisture better. 

Orange Fruit Extract:  This fruit belongs to the citrus family and is best known for its astringent and toning properties. Oranges are a good source of Vitamin C which is known to improve the skin texture and color. They help support the production of collagen in our body which is responsible for skin firming and results in younger looking skin. 

Lemon Extract:  One of the primary benefits of lemon extract is its high levels of natural antioxidants, particularly Vitamin C. Lemons also contain citric acid, which helps to exfoliate dead skin cells. This is important for maintaining clear and smooth looking skin. 

Niacinamide (Vitamin B3):  Vitamin B3 has many benefits including restoring moisture, and protecting the skin from environmental damage. In addition, it helps improve the texture of the skin by visibly minimizing and tightening pores and correcting imperfections, while softening fine lines and wrinkles and diminishing dullness, blackheads, and pigmentation issues.  Vitamin B3 has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties and can inhibit excessive sebum production that leads to breakouts. It also unclogs pores and prevents unwanted hair growth and acne.

Hemp Oil: Is rich in antioxidants and fatty acids which form a protective seal over the surface of the skin to help hydrate dry skin and provide anti-inflammatory and anti-aging benefits.  The main chemical constituents of Hemp Oil are: Linoleic Acid, α-Linolenic Acid, Oleic Acid, Palmitic Acid, Stearic Acid, and γ-Linolenic Acid.
