Silicone Patches Smooth Wrinkles, Scars and More—Plus, Score Them for Less!

Silicone face patches, also referred to as “wrinkle patches,” are a non-invasive, at-home treatment geared toward lessening the appearance of wrinkles. They are generally made of medical-grade silicone, which provides hydration to the skin—especially beneficial to women over 50 since skin loses hydration with age, says Noah Gratch, MD, FAAD, a board-certified dermatologist at MDCS Dermatology in New York. 


What are some of the benefits of silicone patches?

The patches work by causing compression (holding the skin taut), increasing circulation (which boosts collagen regulation, strengths skin and carries away waste products from the cells) and creating better hydration (by forming an occlusive layer on the skin that creates a micro-climate for hydration), explains Shelley Hancock, a licensed esthetician and Chief Beauty Officer for Skin Experts. “The benefits are temporary, so consistent usage creates consistent results.“ Here, how they can help:
